David visits his Grandpa Joe at his retirement community and finds him depressed and lonely. His wife of 56 years died a couple years ago and he is lost. David reminds him that Grandma wanted him to get on with his life and that includes dating again, he also tells him that she asked him to make sure it happens. David is a player who has a fool proof system to pick-up women that actually works. Joe just wants companionship but David takes Joe under his wings and teaches him to be a player. Joe is like a shy teenager at first but before long he is the lothario of the retirement community. Meanwhile, David finds himself attracted to a young lady who is immune to his charms. He tries everything he can think of but she is one step ahead of him. Eventually he decides to use the friend ploy but it appears to work too well when she says he’s like a brother to her. The cast is very good and while it’s not a perfect film it is a good effort by a first time writer/director. This is a sweet family film that shows love is for all ages.
