Ben Selleck’s car dealership is in trouble so he calls in a hired gun. Don Ready and his team of professional sales people travel the country selling cars – and they are good at it. Ready and his team take over the Selleck dealership for a fourth of July weekend sale with big stakes. If they don’t sell every car on the lot Ben will lose it to the dealership across the street. Ready makes a play for Ben’s daughter who is engaged to the rival’s son who fronts a boy band. The other members of his team have their own quirks. And there is the mystery of what happened in Albuquerque. Will they sell all the cars and save Ben’s dealership? While this is far from a being a good movie it is funny. I found myself laughing so often I overlooked how ludicrous and derivative it was. The characters are almost stereotypes and we have seen the situations before but the humor is surprisingly original and the cast is very good. If you want a senseless laugh this one is for you.
