Evan is a successful financial executive and like many successful men in movies he ignores his family. His recent separation has caused his daughter to become attached to her blanket and talk to her imaginary friends at school. When the school calls Evan has to pick up his daughter when she refuses to go back into class from recess because her imaginary friends told her not to. Evan has to take her to work with him just when he has a huge presentation coming up and when he leaves her alone she draws all over his presentation. When it turns out her drawings were accurate in prediction what the investments would do he enlists her aid in future presentations. His arch-enemy at work is a faux Native American with more flash than substance but he is worried about Evan’s sudden success and tries to discover how he does it. From making pancakes together and topping them with the strangest condiments or taking a trip to an imaginary land together there is a lot of Father-daughter bonding that is as sweet as it is funny. While this is a formula family film it is surprisingly good with a positive message and enough laughs to make everyone happy.
